| The Content In addition to the literacy tools within the software, RM has also put together a suite of literacy resources that are available as a separate purchasable content pack. These resources comprise Literacy Texts and Literacy Lessons. There are also Word Lists based on the Literacy Strategy, and over 50 Writing Frames for use with Easiteach Literacy. Literacy Texts Schools often struggle to find suitable text resources for use when teaching literacy. The text resources within Easiteach Literacy include a range of both fiction and non-fiction texts provided by leading UK publishers, OUP and Hamilton. More than 100 different texts provide a breadth of materials for Reception to Key Stage 2 pupils. The texts can be manipulated within Easiteach to support whole-class teaching activities, such as shared reading, text structuring and modelling writing. To see which texts are available, click on the links below for each year group:
Reception Literacy Lessons There are 85 Literacy
Lessons, written by leading literacy experts: The lessons include teachers’ notes and activity screens to address specific objectives within the Literacy Framework for pupils from Reception to Key Stage 2. They are designed for use on interactive whiteboards or large monitors with the whole class or with groups of pupils. The lessons are interactive in nature and will highlight how ICT can add true value to the teaching and learning of literacy. A number of lessons are available for each year group for each term’s work, making this a resource that can be used throughout a Primary school.
