The Content

In addition to the Science tools within the software, RM has also put together a suite of Science resources that are available for purchase as a separate Content pack. These resources include:

• 18 Simulations
• Over 40 Whole-class activities
• 40 Investigations
• 60 Concept Cartoons
• 12 Video clips.

The content is focused on aspects of the science curriculum that are harder to teach or harder for pupils to visualise and understand.

Examples of the simulations are heartbeat, respiration and blood flow, plant lifecycles, wind resistance and friction, shadows, and Earth, Sun and Moon. Most simulations allow your pupils to vary different elements of each scenario and then witness the impact of those changes on the scenario. For example, the plant lifecycle simulation allows you to explore over 100 permutations of light, water, temperature and pot size on the growth of a plant!

The whole-class teaching activities are spread across the full range of Primary levels - from sinking and floating to reversible changes, from micro-organisms to sorting and using materials.

The video clips include melting solder, burning paper, a wind turbine and a car exhaust, demonstrating a variety of chemical processes at work in the world around us.

All the materials work within the Easiteach environment and can be annotated, adapted and extended by teachers. The simulations and video clips can all be controlled so that teachers can customise and use them at their own pace. All the materials also include full teaching notes, detailing curriculum references, objectives, activity overview and notes, and suggestions for further work.
